HNC Social Services

The aim of the HNC is to provide an integrated course of knowledge, theory and practice to equip candidates to work effectively within Care settings. It also aims to recognise the transference of such knowledge, theory and practice in a wider range of care settings.

Due to the nature of the learning the HNC will offer candidates the flexibility to embark on Higher National education whilst remaining within the care setting. This will enable a more effective merging together of theory and practice as the candidate employs such knowledge and theory within their workplace.
