“I have thoroughly enjoyed completing the SVQ level 4 in Health and Social Care. I feel it has made a significant impact on myprofessional development. The units were relevant to my role and helped deepen my understanding of leadership, safeguarding, person centred care and professional standards. I would especially like to highlight the outstanding support and guidance provided by my assessor. They were always approachable and ensured I clearly understood the requirements andexpectations of each unit. They were encouraging and helped me to be motivated and focussed. I very much appreciate the flexible support which helped me to balance my studies with work commitments. The resources, communication and overall delivery of the qualification were of a very high standard. My sincerest thanks.” (2025) Candidate

“There was lots of aspects through this course that I would never think about in the past. So, this has given me a better understanding of theorist and different approaches to things. It has also showed me that if you put your mind into something you can get rewards. I would like to say that I would never of completed this course if I never had the support from Malcolm and my team manager. They have supported me throughout this and I am so grateful for this. Even when I thought I would never be able to complete it they pushed me through.” (2023) Student/ Candidate

“Became more trauma informed and the knowledge gave me a deeper understanding of the impact of abuse and the theories now inform my practice. I have thoroughly enjoyed my learning, Malcolm, Fiona and Maureen have all been very supportive throughout. I found Malcolm’s tutorials extremely interesting for 2 reasons, the first is the manner of his teaching facilitates and motivates me to want to learn more and the second is the subject matter which I would read in my leisure time even if there was no award to achieve. I am now thinking of trying for a degree” (2024) Student/ Candidate
“I have gained lots of knowledge and understanding when working with children and young people and I have developed this within my care practice. My experience throughout the SVQ has been very positive and I have thoroughly enjoyed the learning process.” (2023) Student
Organisational Review: “Well-structured and balanced at a pace and level that completing students can manage allied to their current full-time working roles. Structured in a way that it doesn’t impact too much on current rota management for our residential houses re study time and practice learning sessions. Structure allows for full completion in line with SSSC timescales for qualification and registration requirements. High level of expertise and support offered from course leader has been helpful to say the least.” (2024) Manager
